5 Rock-Solid Reasons Why You Should Be Investing In Vacant Land

Have you ever taken a drive out to a remote corner of your state?

I don’t mean a state park or a small town.

I mean a place where you won’t see a single building for miles.

Where there are no tourists, no infrastructure and no major natural attractions.

Just plain desert or forest.

These are the kinds of places most people label as the “middle of nowhere.”

But we really shouldn’t be so dismissive.

After all, we’re lucky to live in a country that still has so much open space left.

And there are a number of people who do want a small plot of land where they can see the stars in all their glory or catch fish straight from unsoiled water.

There is far more demand for these spaces than you would think.

And for those who love these beautiful corners of our county, you can also make a life for yourself investing in these spaces.

Perhaps while also living in your own dream cabin in the woods.

So without further ado, below are five rock-solid reasons why you should be investing in vacant land.

1. It’s Profitable

Vacant land may be beautiful, but it’s not generally considered a great wealth-building tool in real estate circles.

This shouldn’t be the case.

Yes, you likely won’t make a million-dollar profit on any one deal, but you can see a return on your investment of 2-5x if you buy at the right price.

2. It Requires Very Little Capital

The plus side of not making a million-dollar profit is that you don’t need to spend a million dollars to get in the door.

Rural vacant land can be very affordable (in some areas you can acquire land for as little as $1000).

This means you don’t need much capital to get started as a land investor.

3. It’s Affordable

There are no repairs, no maintenance and very few carrying costs.

This means that once you own the property you won’t need to spend any additional money beyond the annual property taxes.

And these can be very low.

4. It’s Low Risk

When you buy lower value parcels of rural vacant land, you won’t be risking too much money on any one plot of land.

Also, by not investing too much in any single parcel, you can diversify your portfolio by buying properties in many different states.

And worst case scenario, you can always keep the parcel and use it for camping yourself!

5. You Can Live from Anywhere

If you become a full-time land investor, you don’t need to go into an office or live near a big city.

So, if your dream is to be able to live closer to nature, land investing could be your vehicle to do it!

It certainly is a great opportunity for those who can see it.

Especially if you have a passion for beautiful places!
