Public Storm Warning #1 Signal (August) Know How It Upgrade

A public storm warning signal warns and signals the public against harsh climatic conditions like upcoming storms. It alarms hours before any area gets affected.  

These public storm signals are impended in coastal countries to warn and caution the public against expected storms. However, future weather disturbances are predicted quite precisely with this tool.  

It is widely used in the United States and the Philippines, where it evidently affected storm contains hence protecting the livelihood of the population there. This signal works at different levels like 1,2,3 and 4 with varying intensity of storms.   

Public Storm Warning #1 Signal is the first stage signal that alarms an upcoming storm 36 hours before its occurrence. This way, these signals vary based on their time gap. For example, the public storm signal #2 aware a day before, while #3 alarms 18 hours prior and #4 alarms 12 hours before the storm actually hits.  

Metrological departments are responsible for informing the public regarding upcoming storms via every possible medium. And the government is expected to take needed preventive measures to secure the livelihood in the affected areas. With the varying weather condition in the Philippines, the upgradation or down gradation of signals occur in the Philippine Area of Research (PAR).   

Public Storm Warning #1 Signal 

This signal is raised 36 hours before an expected tropical storm or likewise conditions including the extreme speed of the wind, etc. The signal depicts the velocity and intensity of both wind and rain. This signal raises and cautions the population of these specific areas where a climatic occurrence is about to occur, and where there has been no visible impact yet.  

In countries like the Philippines, tropical cyclones are always in motion towards the coastal regions. So, upgrading and downgrading the signal is also possible.   

As a result, the Public Storm Warning #1 Signal may advance to #2, then to #3, and so on.  

Preventative Actions At Public Storm Warning #1 Signal

Waves on the lake would gradually grow and heighten once the tropical storm signal increases. It is crucial to pay attention to the announcements made by the metrological departments and other pertinent organizations.  

The storm warning signal #1 indicates no danger, and there is a potential that the storm will not affect the area in question. Therefore, unless specifically instructed by the government, people can continue their businesses.
